Practical messages for completed jobs

Electrician review request templates for text and email

Copy a message, replace the brackets and give your customer the choice to describe their experience in their own words. These examples are for electricians contacting real customers after completed work. They are messages you can adapt and send yourself, not an automated sending tool.

A short text after a completed job

Hello [First name], this is [Your name] at [Business name]. Thank you for choosing us for your [brief job description]. Would you like to share your experience on Google? Here is our review link: [Google review link]. Leaving a review is optional. Thank you.

Use a short description such as “lighting installation”. Leave out the address, access information and sensitive details. Replace the link with the one for your own business before sending.

An email after handover

Subject: Your experience with [Business name]

Hello [First name],

Thank you for asking [Business name] to carry out your [brief job description].

If you would like to leave an honest review of your experience, you can do that here:

[Google review link]

Please use your own words. There is no obligation to leave a review.

Thank you,
[Your name]
[Business name]

For an inspection, ask about the customer's experience of your service. Do not ask them to describe an electrical installation as safe or compliant, or suggest that a public review replaces the inspection findings.

One optional reminder

Hello [First name], [Your name] from [Business name] here. One final reminder that you can review your experience with us at [Google review link]. If you have already left a review, thank you. Otherwise, please feel free to ignore this message. We will not send another review reminder.

A reminder is optional, not a required sequence. As an editorial starting point, allow several days rather than sending another request on the same day. That is not a proven best-performing interval. Skip the reminder if the customer has already responded or asked not to receive further requests. Keep the promise not to send another reminder.

Ask consistently, without choosing the rating

Give customers the same opportunity to leave an honest review, regardless of whether you expect positive or negative feedback. Do not use a satisfaction question to decide who receives the public review link. Do not offer a discount, gift or payment for a review, or ask a customer to change or remove a negative review in exchange for something. These practices conflict with Google's contribution policies.

Keep service support available independently of reviews. A customer should be able to raise a concern without having to post publicly, and raising a concern should not remove their opportunity to review the business.

Before sending

  • Confirm the recipient had a real experience with your business.
  • Use a contact channel you are entitled to use, and honour requests to stop messages. A template does not establish permission to contact someone.
  • Replace every bracketed field and test the business link.
  • Send after the relevant work and handover, without pressuring the customer while you are still at the property.
  • Leave the rating and wording to the customer. These are request templates, not reviews to post on their behalf.

Where TradeSites fits

TradeSites Core includes neutral review-request setup alongside a managed electrician website and enquiry setup. Growth adds responses to new reviews and the monthly Google Business Profile and completed-job content described in the plan. These templates do not imply automatic sending, review detection or a missed-call text-back service.

Google guidance checked 8 September 2026. Template wording is original TradeSites copy. No ranking or review-volume result is promised.
